Hi, I am no powerpoint expert, but I either just cut and paste from excel into powerpoint, this works well for bits of a spreadsheet, but can look untidy due to the gridlines, but you may be able to get rid of these through paste special.
Or goto the insert menu in powerpoint, choose object and browse for the speadsheet you want to insert.
I am aware of a import function but have no idea how it works, I am sure someone else on the forum can tell you.
You can also do a screen capture, which will allow you to edit the picture to the size you want. Open the picture of Excel that you want to capture (but no Office Assistant in the picture; that violates a copyright) and press the ALT and Print Screen keys.
Then open a slide in PowerPoint and click the paste button. If you click on the screen capture, the Picture toolbar should come up (if it doesn't, right click for the shortcut menu, and select Show Picture toolbar). You can use the crop button to trim the edges and use the handles to shrink or enlarge the picture.
