The 'Stop Previous Sound' option that you can associate with events & transitions in Powerpoint only seems to apply to .wav sounds that are associated with other events & transitions.

I've got a sound object that plays a .wma file. This is set to stop after 11 slides, but the person viewing the slideshow can click a button to return to the 'menu slide'. When this happens, I want to stop the sound file from playing. 'Stop Previous Sound' doesn't do it.

I'm sure there's a simple macro I can write to do this, but I don't know how to reference or control the sound object. I know powerpoint vba isn't used very much, but surely there are other people who've wanted to accomplish this sort of thing.....

...any help appreciated.
