I am trying to reduce a PPT file which is originally 2.5MB to something manageable on the internet. The smallest file size I seem to be able to get with Acrobat Distiller is 800KB. Does anyone have any suggestions. Is there software out there that can compress this file size for Internet Optimization. I can take a little bit of a beating on print quality.

Regards,
Roger

I'm assuming you meant that you were trying to reduce a PDF file, not a PPT file? Is the original file a multipage document with colour? What about it's original resolution and actual size (height and width. Need more info on your original document. Distiller is the best app I know for compression of a variety of document formats for web viewing.

Mindeye....

The way I read your post is that the original file is a powerpoint file. You want to make it available on the internet...but the size is a bit of a no no for people to download / view......

You could either save the presentation as "HTML" from powerpoints "File" menu. Which may be a good workaround as the files will be very small.

Or if you definately want the PPT file to be available, then you will have to decrease the "pixel" size of the pictures in your presentation. See
