Hi,

I want to insert a powerpoint file into a existing powerpoint file. Both files, however, have been created by using completely different templates. Whenever I insert the second file into the first file the second file's template is changed so that it is identical to the first. I need to put in something like a page break in powerpoint to stop the original template from takeing over the second file's template. Can anyone advise me as to how to do this? Thanks.

Hi,

I am not quite sure what you mean by hyperlink to the second presentation. When giving the presentation I want it to appear as one presentation seamlessly going from one template to another as I change slides.

Right.
Your best bet:
1. Go to the master slide of presentation 2.
2. Copy all background objects (no textboxes).
3. Open presentation 1, get slide that has "bad" background.
4. Format-background, "omit background graphics from master".
5. Paste the contents of the clipboard (do not click your mouse at this point--keep all that stuff selected).
6. Use the drawing toolbar, hit Draw-Order-Send to back.
7. Go to each slide with that format and paste the same way. Depending how many you have this could potentially increase your file size greatly. Brainbench MVP for Microsoft Word
