We have a client who has a PowerPoint 2003 file which will only spell check in Spanish. This was originally created on an English computer and is now being edited on an English language computer.
We've ensured that Windows XP language is set to English. The default language and dictionary within PowerPoint are set to English.
I also deleted the the Custom Dictionary and readded it, with no apparent change.
Other files created by the same user do not have this issue. However, this particular file continues to have this issue when opened by the client on any computer.
Attempted to open it on one of our tech computers...no change. Opened it in PowerPoint 2007...no change. Resaved the file in 2003 format...no change.
When the client opens a new PowerPoint document, it does not have this issue. However, if even a single slide is copied from the affected file to the new file, the issue is carried over.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
