I was wondering if you could animate bullets in an outline to show all the I,II,III then show the A,B,C then the 1,2,3.

I know you can animate a single text box and each bullet can enter the slide individually. For example I,A,1,2,B,II.

I
A
1
2
B
II

But how can you animate it in this order I,II,A,B,1,2? Without making each item its own box and arranging the animate order that way?

Thanks,
~RUTH~

What version of Powerpoint are you using?
I am using 2003 and it can be done in it, and I think XP allows it also. Not sure about other versions.

for those people who's version of powerpoint allows it, here is how it is done

Create a text box and make the bullet/number points that you require. Select the text box and select Slide Show/custom animation from the menu bar. Click on add effect then entrance then appear. Right click on the custom animation entry for the text box, and select effect option then text animation, then change the grouptext setting to 'by 3rd level paragraphs'.
You should now be able to click and drag each bullet/number point up or down in the custom animation window to the desired point.

Finally set the timing delay of each entry to an appropriate time (say 1 second), or make it 'on click'

The important bit is the 3rd level paragraph change.
