I'm a new user of Power Point.I just finished a slide show for my wife's old photos with music background. The music came from a CD-Rom. My wife was so I happy with the outcome. We became like teen-agers again.

My problem is how to transfer the final outcome(the slide show itself) to a VCR tape so I can show it to her mother, sisters, etc. They only have VCR tapes in their homes.

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

There are several methods to do this.. all will having varying results depending on your equipment.

Use a Minicam and just record the monitor screen full frame.. trouble is the video screen refresh rate doesnt match the tape.. which is why you see the "rolling" pictures on a TV when it's taped as if it's watching it

Many laptops and video capture cards have a composite port to hook straight into the TV.. with this you can dump it straight to a VCR and get a decent signal

Buy or Borrow a good video card like the Osprey 100 which has a "S-video" jack on it and assuming your TV/VCR also has a S-video jack, you will get the best picture.

Some places offer this service for a reasonable price.. they will take a CDROM and transfer it to video for you.

I use a Studio 400 which uses the parallel port, Minicam and VCR. I also use some other software to change/edit/fold/spindle the various formats I use.

Personally, I would find a friend with a RCA jack on the latop and use that. :)
