IE
Platform:
Citrix Metaframe XP,Office 2002, 6 Server Farm,ICA Client.
Problem:
Users creating Powerpoint presentations with lots of images, when slide show is running, the slides with images tend either to come in very very slowly, very annoying if user is giving a presentation as a training course, or, the images from two seperate slides appear to run into each other & when exiting slide show, there can be a small delay, appearing as if it has "hung".

Has anyone had this problem? Or are there any tips/issues for using Powerpoint in Citrix??

Any info greatly appreciated.

Don't? ;-)

Well, make sure you have as decent a connection between the client workstation and the server (ie 100Mb switched) as possible. You can also "fiddle" with the connection settings such as drop the number of colours being displayed to 256 (your presenters may not like this), disable sound (the people attending the presentations may thank you for this ;-) ), use disk cache for bitmaps, queue mouse movements, and set SpeedScreen latency reduction to On (rather than auto).

Cheers
