Powerpoint presentation unable to Open on G4

Hi folks

I have a user that cant open a powerpoint presentation on a G4. This was originally created on a windows PC. This presentation can open on other G4 Macs. What should I do, as I've no experience on MACs.

Here's a dumb question... Does the G4 in question have PowerPoint or Keynote?

It has Powerpoint. I dont know what Keynote is. But it's got Powerpoint.

Keynote is Apple's answer to PowerPoint - and it opens PowerPoint files.

How is it unable to open the file?:

Does nothing happen when you double-click on the file?

Do you get an error message?

Does it start to open and then stop?


If it can open on another Mac, try resaving it on that Mac and then try to open it on the stubborn Mac.

I tried the second option but that didn't work. I'll try keynotes.

What error are you getting? Have you upgraded your office package? I just bought office for my new G4 and found they are still shipping cd's with office 10.0 on them. (10.3 is current.)
