powerpoint presentation images dissapear

when i open a powerpoint presentation with 2003 (created with 95 i think) i can view all the slides, but, if i change the view so that i get multiple thumbnail views of all the slides the images disapear, i have tried saving the images deleting them from the view and then reloading the picture, still dissapears, I dont think the images are links because i can actually save them,

any help is appreciated

When you say disappear, do you mean they are deleted or do you mean that you just can't see them in this view (i.e. if you go back to a single-slide view you can see them again.)?
