I need to know if it is possible to do global changes on a PPT presentation. I have a large file, approx. 200 slides, copied from other several other presentations into this one. All with different formatting styles.

I wish to reformat text box positions and sizes, fonts, bullets, etc., and I am hoping there is a way to do it globally rather than slide by slide.

I make changes to the master, but not all the slides accept the changes. I have also manually changed slides, saved the file too!, and I come back reopen the file only to find they have reverted to the previous formatting...? What's with this?

I suspect there is no "global" hope for most of these issues, but would appreciate it if someone could confirm that. If there is a "global" solution, please point me to its menu location...

thanks,
Chris

Hi lazariel,

Unfortunately, you've discovered that manual changes in your presentation override anything you do on the Master Slide. That's why applying Master slide changes doesn't affect every slide.

You can create a new Design Template, which can be saved and applied to slides that resist the Master changes.

When formatting on the slides is inconsistent, you can also create a macro for individual changes to text boxes, put a button the toolbar for the macro, and click to change any resistant text box.

Hope this helps,

Best,
