Hi,
Does anyone know if there is an easy way to embed a Powerpoint presentation into an HTML page.

Thanks.

i dont think there is any way to do that. if the browser has the plugin then it will automatically do so...

Known is handfull, Unknown is worldfull

Use an Iframe, that way the Powerpoint presentation will load in it's own window within your page, giving the impression that it's part of the page.

But if a person doesn't have powerpoint installe,d what's the point?

Is there not some way of saving your powerpoint presentation as a set of HTML files like you can do with word.

If all else fails you could learn SMIL

You can save Powerpoint to html, but I've had problems with it in the past (some slides get turned upside down!). Microsoft offers a free web viewer for Powerpoint, it's just a simple download. You can get it here:

What I've done in the past is put a link on the page for the Powerpoint presentation and have it open in a window by itself. Something simple like this:
<a href=&quot;whatever.ppt&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;>View PowerPoint Presentation</a>

And, of course, have the above link on the page as well so the user can download the viewer if they need it.

Hope This Helps!

Have a look at Microsoft Producer. You'll have to search search microsoft.com for it, but it's a free download and looks pretty good. I've played with it a bit (not in any anger, mind you) and it seems well up for online presentations.
