Powerpoint Default Custom Animation Effects

Hi
Is there a way of changing the default custom animation effect from Fly left to, say, appear? It's taking me ages to sort out my presentations - thanks.

You should be able to select all slides (Ctrl+A while in slide sorter view), and set the animation. Doesn't that work? Or isn't it quick enough?

Sorry, I should have been more specific. It was the custom animation of objects on the slides I wanted to sort not the slide transition.

Again, in regular slide view, Ctrl+A and set it? No? Not quick enough or...am I still missing it?

Oh yes in Normal Slide View I could do that but have to do it for each slide. In Slide Sorter View, Custom Animation is not available (on my verion of Powerpoint 2000 anyway). I was hoping that there might be a quicker way. Really wanted to change default as I very rarely, like never, want the objects in a slide to do anything than just appear.
