After running a slideshow on a laptop, and then running it on a PC, the slides are all distorted with different color lines all through the picture. Should I reinstall PowerPoint?

No, you should probably delete the temporary files on the PC. Close all programs. Go to Find-Files or Folders and type:

*.tmp,~*.*

in the Named box. Make sure you check the entire C:\, including subfolders. Hit find now. Delete all the files that show up. Then run scandisk and reboot. No scandisk on NT machines, just reboot.
