Hi,
Did anyone encounter "low in memory resource" when launching Powerpoint 97 in Windows 95? I have try removing the startup template and try launching Powerpoint by clicking directly on a newly created slide copied from another machine. Any solution?

Daniel

How much RAM do you have? Win95 and Office97 products are bad about killing system resources when strting an office 97 application. You help this by right clicking on my computer and going to properties. Next go to Performance tab and then File System. Set the primary role to network Server (If you have 32meg of RAM or more). Next ensure ALL nonessential programs are off before launching Powerpoint. James Collins

It is running on 196MB ram, 10GB hardisk and PII 400 Processor.

Did those "tweaks" help? James Collins

How big is your SWAP file? If its too small that could cause LOW Resources. James Collins

The swap file is determine by the OS. I can open it after reimaging the machine, it happen to any other machine (different brand), even machine with 256mb ram and different file The problem only occurs after some usage without any addition software install on it.

I am unsure of the issue at this point. IAs I stated before Win95 combined with Office 97 products can cause major memory leaks. Is it possible to migrate to Office2K? With this Office you get a LOT less memory leaks. James Collins
