I'm trying to open a Powerpoint file but keep getting these two error messages: VCRUNTIME140.dll and MSCVP140.dll not found.
The PPT file seems fine as it opens on another machine, and I have reinstalled Powerpoint 2016, but the error keeps appearing.
The error seems to be related to PP2016 rather than the file itself.
Scouring the internet suggests I need the correct version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable. I find I have 10 copies of various vintages installed and again seemingly correct. Do they need replacing/updating?
I also have a copy of Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 for Office Runtime (x64) - does this need updating?
All suggestions gratefully received.
Cheers,
John
