Hi, I have been sent a couple of presentations done by other users in our office.

Some of the slide headings etc. are in Century Gothic font and are bold.

For some reason, these refuse to display on my Computer and the test is invisible.

If I select the text or the text box they are in and unbold it, it displays fine.

Set it back to bold and it disappears again.

Any ideas? I'm stumped!!

Thanks.

If it's an issue directly on your computer, perhaps it's a problem with the fonts on your system? There are a couple of ways to rebuild fonts and such. There are probably some command lines for such, which I don't know - never needed. I believe that Tweak UI will do this for Windows XP. For Windows Vista/7, you'll have to find another tool. There's one called "ultimate windows tweaker" or something like that which I have used before, freeware.

Here's the link for the latter:

Basically, (I think) it puts a GUI on the command lines for the various fixes, so anyone can quickly "fix" common issues/headaches.

If you want Tweak UI, there are several places for that, but you can get it from the MS Powertoys page:

Another option (in case it's actually a problem in the Office engine itself, or PowerPoint, is to run the Office repair tools... you can do so from within the program or (I think it's still this way) from the add/remove programs (or Programs and features) under control panel.
