Powerplay repports to slow!!

Hi, I have an problem wiht some slow powerplay reports. It's getting slower when I choose an alternate drilldown in combination of some measurs that I have made in Transformer. Can some one please tell me how I can resolve this problem. Maybe I can make an special catagory in stead of alternate drilldown?????? Thx anyway!!!

I am sorry, I am not sure I understand correctly.

Are you saying that when you chose another dimension in Powerplay, it takes too long? Or are you trying to drill through to a different report (Impromptu, Powerplay, Query etc.) and this is taking too long?

Hi Bruce, it's an Powerplay problem. I have this problem not in all in mine reports only when I choose an alternate drilldown then everything is getting slower (drilldown,drillup) even scrolling is an big problem. I hope I have made myself clear. If not tell me I will try to explain again. Thx!!

Usually PowerPlay is very quick. Do you have a large cube with lots of suppressions? I find using zero-suppresssion on a very large table takes a while. When you first open the cube/ report, is it slow, or only when you switch to another drilldown?

If yes, try re-define the report you you don't add the null value items, only to waste CPU time to take them off.

If that is not the case, perhaps the "Optimize Performance" chapter in the step-by-step transformer manual can give some hints. Maximizing data consolidation in the cube MIGHT help.

Beyond that, I really don't have a good answer for you.
