Powerplay PPX reports in Powerplay for Excel

A question about Powerplay for Excel(2000). I use Powerplay version 6.6 to create a report in reporter mode. I save the report as a portable report (ppx). Then I try to open the report in Powerplay for Excel, but all I get are blank fields. For instance, if I save a report with values per month. I only get the names of the months and not the values that were supposed to go with them ( calculated percentages). Does anyone have any suggestions ?

I use Office Excel XP and tried the addin provided with PowerPlay. It gives an error saying the following "Connection to the PowerPlayfor excel server application has failed".
Does any one know if Cognos 7.0 works with Excel XP or not. If it does, what is the problem that is causing the above problem?
