PowerPlay list output via SDK 1

Hi all. We're looking at PowerPlay to help us filter down on a user membership list based on user demographics and subscription data. Our analysts would apply filter criteria against 10-12 dimensions to produce a list of user email addresses, numbering up to 100,000 or so. We would then want to export this list to another application using Cognos web services SDK. One particular complexity is the requirement of wildcard filtering (zip code like 901%) and the ability to filter on many categories (50 or so) in a dimension level simultaneously.

Is there anyone out here who has done something similar?

Are you really sure that PowerPlay is the best application for your process?
With the need for wildcard filtering, multi-category selection and volume outputs, surely a flat file report against a database would be better suited to the task, thereby suggesting either Impromptu or ReportNet.

No, we're not certain that PP is the right tool. However a SQL report has proven problematic with respect to response time. The ultimate user experience we are looking for is to allow an interactive filtering mechanism, where the user gets a revised membership count as they apply each addtional filter. The idea is that the user is refining the list interactively, as they may not know exactly what the ultimate criteria is as first. Once they have arrived at a desirable combination of filters, then they want to export the memberships to feed another application.
