I'm working on a couple Mac PowerPC's. A 9600/300 and a 9500/200. Both will boot up but only show the Mac background and no menu. I suspect something in the video card, and I'm using a Mac to vga adapter with no luck. I would like to try to find a vga adapter card that will work, but that I can also use in PC's that I work on once I'm done working on these (not able to charge customer for parts). Anyone know what I need and where I can find it?

Also, any suggestions for troubleshooting the problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Have you tried reinstalling OS8.6/9.0/whatever? Someone may have borked them...

Andy.
