Powerpath and Veritas DMP

At the place I work we are using powerpath, Veritas DMP is also enabled.

I'm trying to understand why both are enabled. Wouldn't this result in a conflict to have two different pieces of software trying to do the same thing ?

 
I'd say you should only have one enabled. I'd guess that only one of them actually has control of the devices (doubt if they both could have).

If you run 'powermt display dev=all' does it list the devices? And if you run the Veritas command (don't know what that is), does it show anything?
