I'm powering down S8100 system later tonight to reroute some wires and then bringing it up again. Anything I should know before I do that.

I'm planning to do hardware shutdown with the recessed button on the TN2314 circuit pack. Wait till LED is steady green and disconnect the power cord from all 3 modules.

I'll free up the wires and put them back exactly the way they were. After that plug in the system and hope for the best :) (any process or sequence for powering it back up?)

Ilyam5,

you described the power off procedure correctly. there is nothing to be scared of doing that, but make sure you saved translations before powering off, just in case.
bringing it back on is easy, just power up all cabinets starting with one farthest from processor cabinet, i.e. cabinet c, then cabinet b, then cabinet a. everything should be fine.
