Hello

What can I excpect from a two node cluster with each node a single network card and diskheartbeat setup.

I excpected that, when pulling out the netwerk connection of one node, the other node would take over the resource group because there would be a "network failure".
It detected the network failure, but there was no take over.
So my question is simple: is this a "works as designed" situation or not?

best regards
Steven

the takeover should have been occur if the network failure occured on the first and the service IP is lost. maybe you have no service IP configured there? or the network on "backup" (second) node was also down there before you unplug the cable on "primary" (first) node?

check also HB Interval and Sensitivity configuration. maybe you have is configured in "slow" and you have to wait more time for cluster reaction?
