I had some memory issues the other day. Dell Tech chat suggested a firmware update. I download the latest A02 and installed. Appeared to go well, then on reboot the POST does find drives and then hangs after the message "BIOS installed successfully" and cursor flashes. I tried restarting several times with the same result.

By the way I removed a 256MB DIMM the other day due to memory address line failure. System has been working fine with one remaining 256MB DIMM. Of course that is until today when I tried to flash BIOS. I am ordering a new replacement DIMM or might upgrade to 2 512MB DIMM's.

Any ideas?

How do I go back to A01 if necessary? I have a BartPE CD. Do I simply execute the A01 file.

Thanks.
