alright, i have a poweredge 4200 board, and i want to do something with it. i know that dell likes to make things slightly different from the standard, and the tabs in the ram slots are slightly off, so normal dram wont fit. so if i want to put ram in it, do i need to buy the who knows how much dollar a stick dell ram? or are the pins the same, and just the tab is moved so i could just remove the tab and use normal dram?
thanks

Dell uses standard ram, if it does not fit in the slot, maybe reversing the ram will allow insertion, if not you have the incorrect ram. Go to Crucial.com, they will have the correct ram, plus it is guaranteed
