Poweredge 2300 configuration

Hi all i wonder if anyone can help me here i recently baught a Poweredge 2300 server, i promptly visited dell and typed in my service tag to download some documentation and when reading it i noticed it said the machine was a dual P2 but when i examine inside the machine there is 2 p3 450's in it, my question is how is this the case when i go onto e-bay i see 2300's with dual 500 p3's in them so how can i find out just what the machine is capable of being upgraded to

double check your system id tag...

maybe the 2300's came out in P2 and P3 flavours?
