PowerDVD plays for 3 minutes and locks my laptop

I have Windows 2000 and I installed PowerDVD 4.0 with a CDkey, however, after 3 minutes of watching the movie my laptop freezes and I have to reboot. Any suggestions? Could it be that I may not have enough RAM? Thanks.

It sounds like you are running out of resources. How much RAM and How much Video RAM have you got?

Is it the same time period all the time? If so, maybe the laptop is trying to start a screensaver or tries to go to a power save mode after 3 minutes.

HAd the same problem... Need to get a newer version of Power DVD.
