Hi Guys.
Hoping somebody may have seen this behaviour. We have five or so Dell PowerConnect 5324 and three 3448 switches. The all-gig 5324 exhibit a very strange fault.
After a random period of time of being switched on... they IP interface becomes unpingable. SNMP is therefor unavailable and so is SSH and HTTP management. The CLI via a console / serial port still works. It will flap up and down once it goes for a few days - until it ceases to function at all, until a reboot of the switch. This isnt just one switch - but all the 5324's. Some do it sooner than others.
Touch wood - so far - none of the 3448's have suffered this problem. Any ideas?
Rob
