IS-IT--Management
Hi all,
We have a new UPS with a management card that we would like to use in our infrastructure.
Due to ESX not liking power issues, I would ideally like to get ESX to gracefully shutdown the guest OS's, then shutdown itself into halt mode.
I'm wondering how possible this is? I'm aware of an APC article that describes how to install PowerChute on ESX:
However the problem is that I want ESX to shutdown the guest's first before shutting itself down. I have found a site that has a script, but as I'm not much of a Linux guy I honestly have no idea what to do to get this script to work with PowerChute, and also if the script is actually any good:
Any help would be very much appreciated....!
Cheers,
Steve.
