We have a SmartUPS 2200 at a remote office with PowerChute Business Edition 7.0.1 installed. It's been working fine for the past 6 weeks (when it was installed) up until now - now it's saying that it's lost connection to the device. And I now have a battery and an APC UPS in device manager which I didn't have before.
It almost seems like windows is taking over the device instead of PowerChute "controlling" it. I'm sure a reboot will fix it, but I'm curious why this has happened. I called APC who suggested resetting the device, but it's only a month old, and I'm not 100% convinced that this is a hardware issue. I'm thinking it's more software related
I've tried disabling the AV software, and all other 3rd party agents that are on the server but this hasn't helped.
Has anybody else come across this issue at all? Or does anybody have any ideas what might cause it or how to fix it
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
