Hi,
I am using Powerbuilder 5 now, I am new to it and have a question.
I have noticed that if you have a column object in a data window which you fill in by means of a drop down datawindow ("DropDownDW" style) or by means of editing (with "Allow Editing" activated) something odd happens to the format of the column when it is displayed.
Because of the drop down ability an arrow is shown when the column is selected which is logical. Less logical is that when you have also ticked "Allow Editing" in the "Edit" options the display field for the column is narrower than if you don't. Between the display field and the arrow there is a gap which is +/- 2/3 as wide as the arrow being shown. If "Allow Editing" is not activated the display field for the column's value is just whatever width is specified minus the required space for the arrow.
Can anyone tell me why this happens and if it is possible to make things look just the same with or without "Allow Editing" being activated ?
Any help very much appreciated.
