I have a Power switch 220V with phone connector.
You could connect it to telephone line and call
in and activate the power switch with codes.

what I would like to do is connect the phone connector
to my servers modem and via internet control the modem
to switch on and off the power switch.

The power switch needs 6 ring signals to accept commands.
How can i get the modem to simulate 6 ring signals?

I need to send data to the power switch eg. "*0000#",
"*0#", "*1#" and so on.
Is there anyone that can help me to do this

Best regards
Hans in Sweden

You need to be able to generate ring voltage in order to get the switch to activate. Your modem has no way of doing this. The only way to do this is to have the switch connected to your incoming phone line an let that ring 6 times.

Unless you are interested in buying something like a Dialogic or Digium card to provide that ring voltage.
