the "standard" 1a2 type power supplys that have 24 volts DC then 10vac, 18vac and 105 VAC
I have one that the 105VAC went Dead on and don't have a good spare at the moment what do they cost usually ?

Are you actually using it in a 1a2 system or are you just interested in the ring generator?

Ring generators are readily available, 1A2 power supplies not so much.

well in my case it is used with a valcom adapter that uses 24 volts and 105 to ring some loud bells and the 24 volts still works but the 105 not so much, which of course is a problem

My suggestion would be to purchase a new Ring Generator and leave the old supply to provide the 24Vdc.

What is the make and model of the power supply?

it is a REALLY old one it says Stromberg-carlson (77 date stamped on it)
I haven't had a change to dig into the innerards of it yet

Stupid question I know but I think those things have fuses. Have you checked?

Hey go to any job site you'll find and abandoned shoebox somewhere...

Yes I checked the fuses, there was 4, two for the 24 volt taps and one for 10 vac & 1 for 18vac

should be the 4 you checked and then two slow blows on the front.

Most of the key system power supplies of that era that contained a ring generator shared the same line fuses. There was no secondary fusing on the ring generator. The only current limiting, if any, was an external resistance lamp, but 1A2 usually never used them. If the KSP was a 584 series, it would have a fuse for the ring gen feed on it. The 501/502 series only had fuses on the power supply. This was pretty much the same for the ITT equivalents. Some of the supplies were made by Elgin and MetroTel, if I remember correctly.

If you're looking for ring gen, try and find an Executone Tri-output power supply Part 550005 - had 24 & 48VDC + 90VAC ring. Not as solid as 1a2, but there are lots out there...
