Hi All,

In attempting to ascertain the differences in power requirements / consumption between a p680 and a p520, if I am reading it right, there isn't much if any difference. Even though the p680 is massive in size compared to the p520. The official doc reads:

p680: 200 - 245 volts AC
p520: 100v to 127v or 200v to 240v AC

...so, how is the difference determined? Any help on identifying power requirements would be welcome.

Many thanks

Voltage alone doesn't say anything. You should also look at amps and or KVA ratings.

Also IIRC p680 used/uses triphase power 32amp (or more?) rated circuit breaker, whereas a p520 uses wall AC power (single-phase 16amp circuit breaker) and also a p520 has two power supplies which ideally should be fed from different power circuits.

HTH,

The consumption will also depend on what features / processors / IO drawers / etc. you have installed.

As p5wizard says, the Amps, kVA or Watts for the same Voltage range is what you need to compare.

The p520 will be MUCH less to run than a p680.
