Can anyone tell me what how to determine how many servers a circuit can handle? I have one 220 20 watt circuit and need to know approximately how many servers it can handle.

I don't know anything about power.

Thanks,

BM

I think i found out. I am going to assume 2.5a for each server or just 5a. So i figure if i stay below 5 servers per circiut i should be good.

Thanks,

bm

You must also take in account that on bootup the servers take more power. If each computer is brough up one by one then maybe the circuit would hold it however, in the case where power returns after a power failure and all the computers bootup at the same time, then that might trip the breaker. Same situation even if you are on UPSes, they will all start recharging the batteries at the same time...
