I had a power outage this weekend at the office and now all of my windows 2000 clients cannot log on to the domain without getting the error "cannot load locally stored profile..." Please anything would be helpful as I am the IT Manager of this company but I am JUST a programmer and know very little about domain servers...

Hope you do not have a huge amount of clients as the problem seems to be on the Windows side rather than Samba.
This could happen if you are using Roaming Profiles on the domain.
To test, you can logon to a workstation with the problem as local Administrator (or any local user with Admin access)
Go to the home directories (probaby Documents and Settings)
and rename the directory of the affected user.
The user can then logon as himself to have a new directory created. Any settings or documents can then be copied from the renamed directory to the new one.
Hope that helps..

NEVERMIND: I had forgotten that I changed security = to share. I changed it back to security = user and it is fine.

I am actually using both valid users = and invalid users= . Thanx for your help!
