Hi, does anyone know of a way of changing power options from a command line in Windows 2000. Basically I want to create a script to be able to set the PC Power options between Never go into standby or set standby to 2 hours.

Any help appreciated.

Hmm, not sure if "powercfg" works in Windows 2000, might be a XP and newer only command.

Why not use the active directory to do it instead?

yes,The Powercfg.exe tool is not supported in Windows 2000.
The Powercfg.exe tool is included with the following operating systems:
• Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2)
• Microsoft Windows Server 2003

– the version control and issue tracking software provider.
