power meter

I am looking for a power meter component or some source code to show me how to make this. I am accessing a rs485 card using comports to get readings. I would like to take these readings and display them real time on a power meter graphic. I am sure there is some kind of component but I have not been able to locate it. Is there some one there who may be able to tell me the website.
