Power management unit

I have an old Powermac G3.
I believe it has a power management unit problem. It does not start up and is totally dead. I have brought it to a "MAC specialist" and they tested the battery and said it was fine. I would like to know if anyone has or knows where I can find any documentation on installing a power management unit.
