Power Management for Users Group

We're running a Windows 2000 server/client network.

Although I can change the power management settings on a client desktop or notebook when logged on as an Administrator, those settings aren't passed to users in the Users group, nor can they change their own settings.

I can't find a Group Policy line relating to this.

So, how can I allow Users to configure their own power management settings? Is there a policy key in AD?

No! The users are in the Users group- I don't want them installing a bunch of games, junk internet software, etc...

Are logged on as Local Admin or as a Admin account which created the user profiles? This is important as the highest level admin, if it is not you, may have set a "No Override" policy on the user accounts or onto a GPO which is linked to the user accounts. If this is the case, then you must get that person to change the "No Override" policy so users can alter their desktops or machines at will.

Catadmin - New to Server Admin, but willing to learn... All help is appreciated.
