I have a system that has dual power supply (redundant power unit)
The customer is experiencing reboots of the system maybe once a week.

The alarms are showing power voltage alarms.
12 v
1.5 v
alarm 11200
Alarm 11400

All related to power

I not sure why these alarms are showing when they have. 2 power units.

Any one experienced this.

I am thinking of changing out the power unit back to a single unit.

You don't specify the model but assuming it is a 400, I would take a serious look at the BFT. If the system is really old and is in a dirty location, you might want to have a look at opening it up and giving it a thorough cleaning.

Even if it doesn't look dirty, airborne grease can get in there and cause no end of strange problems including reboots. I had an old 3.6 box that was doing the same thing as yours and after cleaning it, the system worked perfectly.

Sorry classic mistake.

Bcn450 release 6.

Yes it was cleaned out recently

Silly answer, but check that the BCM isn't scheduled to do a weekly reboot. I've been caught out with that one.

As it's a BCM 450, my suggestion is to replace the power supply. I don't think the quality of the ones for the 450 were as good as the older 400 version. I've known a customer swap his out (as the maintainer couldn't get hold of one) power unit from his old BCM 400 that was due to be scrapped as it was taking up space. It was a wise move to keep it.

Hi firebird scrambler

No scheduled reboots.

As stated its a Dual power unit.
2 power units for Redundancy.

If it happens again I going to change it back to a single unit again.

Thanks for the input.

Snowman50 what is before the power connectors? it is direct the mains (110/220v ) or a UPS?
If there is a UPS checking also the UPS maybe will help. I have a similar issue 10 years ago with a BCM200 system and the cause was the faulty UPS.
