I have taken over a BCM50e installed with a 4x16 card in the first expansion module. I have read the docs on the aux port being used for Power Fail but its not very detailed. If the system looses power and I have an analog phone cross connected to the aux port will it connect to the first line in the system? Now if so, is it line 061 in the main module or line 065, first line in the expansion module?

The aux port is active all the time - not just during power fail situations. If you connect an analog phone to the aux port on the 4x16 card, you'll have dialtone off line 65, the first trunk on the 4x16 card.

There is no aux port on the BCM 50 main cabinet. If you require an emergency phone off that line, you'd be best off double punching line 1 to another jack and instruct the users to plug in the analog "emergency set" during PFT situations.

Or, you could get an analog trunk powerfail transfer unit that switches the incoming trunks to some analog phones when the device loses power.
