We're getting these alarms consistently.
Power failed. Power Recovered.
Redid power situation, put on UPS. Also getting alarm 52005
**Error. Reset by Network Manager**
Going to install some patches this weekend. Anyone come across these. Other than patches, anything I should be looking for??

possibly dirty power. Is the electrical cct being shared w/ other devices?

Quad outlet that's sharing with other computer equipment. We replaced UPS. I would hope it would be providing clean power. Also this is something that just started occurring within last two weeks.

Nortel recently released a bulletin regarding defective BCM 400 power supplies.
Check the product lable on the rear of your chassis.
Nortel believes the issue is only related to NT7B10AAFRE5.
Here's a bit of the bulletin:
Analysis:
Nortel has been informed by its supplier that a limited number of BCM400 Rls. 4.0 Base Systems were shipped with a
power supply which is likely to fail soon after being placed into operation. The failure is caused by a defective component used in the power supply.
Nortel's investigation of the issue confirmed that only a limited number of BCM400 Rls. 4.0 base systems with the product code NT7B10AAFRE5 shipped by Nortel in early June 2008 are affected by this quality problem.
The NT7B10AAFRE5 is included in the following bundles:
NTBU0953 NA BCM4.0 BCM400 32 Digital Station Bundle
NTBU1015 NA BCM4.0 on BCM400 Bundle
NTDU88BA SRG 1.5 and BCM400 Marketing Rackage
Nortel would like to clarify that no other products are affected by the problem, in particular that all Universal Power Supply FRUs (NTAB3423E5) are not impacted and can be used to replace defective power supplies in the field.

Update.
1-Did All Patches. Replaced Power Supply Couple of weeks ago. Errors still persisted. Put original power supply back in. System did stop resetting. Better.
2-Replaced Base Function Tray yesterday. Error free last 24 hours.
Summary.
Patches stopped system from actually resetting. BFT fixed problem. Hopefully that'll help someone in future.
