How can employees steal through:

Error Corrects?

Check transfers and splits?

Extremely long and extremely short check minutes?

Easiest way to float drinks or food?

Any other ways and solutions would be great.

I am new to Micros and have only an intermediate understanding of the system.

Employee's can steal any number of ways.

When cancels and error corrects are high nightly (more pertaining to bartenders than servers)
"man walks into a bar, orders 4 beers, @ $2 a piece, Bartender rings in 4, but doesn't send order, hands over the beer, tells man thats 8 bucks, voids current round of 2 beers leaving 2 beers on check @ $4 dollars, and pockets the other $4"
Same for cancels pretty much, ring up the beers, tell customer price, pocket it and cancel the transaction.

Alternatives, get a camera system with cameras over the bar to watch them, you can make it to where they can not do cancelations or voids leaving it up to a manager to authorize. This becomes a neusance though when your managers are busy or not in, however, if after a few weeks bartenders are making these mistakes over and over, do you really want them behind your bar>....
