Need your help guys. We're trying to print an Oracle report using Postscript(PPD files). For every page, it's printing an extra blank page. How can we get rid of this blank page?

Your help and hints will be highly appreciated.

There are several things that could be a problem:

1) Check printer setup in Oracle and set number of lines to 60. We do not use Oracle, but most DB's have a printer setup.
2) Verify that the actual printer is set to 60 lines per page.
3) The other possibility is that there is a form feed in the postscript. This is most likely being put in by the Application. Check the settings (preferences) and see if there is a switch that can be turned off.
4) Assuming that you do not want to twiddle the bits in the PPD file, try to see if the filter has a setting for number of lines per page.

I had that same problem and this worked for me.

edit the file /etc/lp/interface/model.orig
There are three lines in that file containing "echo 014/c"
Rem those three lines out, save and exit and see if that does the trick.
