Hi,
Is there any known issue when sending a report to a printer
(in this case a Color LaserJet HP 8550N ) that has both PCL and PostScript 'personalities' --

I am using CE8.5 and ActiveX to view reports..( problem is the same with Java viewer)
The CE server has the same drivers/printers installed as the client machine that created the reports and the page and job servers are runing under an account that has access to the network shares..(the Printer test page prints correctly).
If I print the report to a HP8150 ( PCL only) it prints fine, but when sent to the Color printer the 'Times New Roman' font seems to end up as the 'symbolic' one and, obviously, is non-readable. We are having our Network printer admins look into the font tables in the printer, but I want to see if there is some issue with CE8.5 regarding this problem.

Any help, pointers, etc greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

PS: The reports print fine to both printers when run from CR.

Hi,
Solved!!

The network printer admins revealed ( nice, eh!) that an updated print server for the 8550 was available and should be used.
I installed it on the client , and problem went away..

It would have been too much to ask, I guess, that they notify everyone of such a change [censored]...

Well, anyway, it works now...
