PostScript Language Level 2?

Why does my system give me the error, "Error: Your printer needs to be configured for printing to a PostScript Language Level 2 printer"?

What is the deal? I never had a problem printing a PDF before. I really don't feel like making this change on about 4000 PC's. Is this caused by the way the PDF files are created? If I force the authors to change it to Level 1, what will they lose? Thanks for any assistance.

Hi

You must have a word with the authors and request that they use type 1 postscript or true type fonts when creating the PDF - and recommend that they embed their fonts as well. The change for them will be nominal compared to the hassle caused to you. Derren
