Postmaster and Unreturned Mail messages

I know the answer to this is going to be very simple, but I've tried so many things to no avail. Every day I am getting around 30 "unrturned mail" messages or "postmaster" messages for e-mails that I haven't sent. I have run anti virus which picked up a couple of viruses and removed them to the chest (Avanti). Is this a virus and can you please help me to stop getting these messages?

These might not have actually originated from you. The from & reply to addresses can be spoofed, so when a mail server bounces the message, it will come back to you if mail has been faked to have your 'from' address, even if you didn't send it. Be very thorough with your virus scans using multiple utilities faq760-3862. If you're clean, don't worry about it.

Thank you, I will try these when I get home tonight. If it doesn't find anything though, is there a way to stop receiving these mails? I'm getting so many of them every day and have been doing so for the past 2 weeks or so. It's a nightmare.

You could use mail rules to filter them. Search this forum for mail rules for some tips how to set this up if you aren't familiar with mail rules.
