Posting to the MySQL mailing lists

I am subscribed to some of the MySQL mailing lists, and am getting regular digests as requested. However, any time I try to post to any of the lists, my message just bounces a few days later with the line "timed out waiting for confirmation that [my e-mail address] is real".

I got no response when I e-mailed the MySQL list administrators about this, so does anybody here have any idea what I can do to get my posts accepted?
